Evan's POV
She was flushing in the car seat and looked out of the window constantly the rest of the car ride to the OBGYN's office.
After telling my parents the news about the pregnancy, Mom recommended an obstetrician and told me she'd slap me upside my head if I didn't accompany Jasmine there on the first day. I was already planning on being there for her though.
I pulled the car into a parking lot of a neat, two-story building with dark tinted glass windows and a true nature, outdoor environment. I instantly liked it. It was also private so I wasn't worried about the press showing up.
Thanks Mom.
I opened the door and held Jasmine's hand as she got out and looked around in amazement. I led her to the entrance and pushed in the door.
"Good morning. You must be the Hollens," a nurse greeted with a smiling face.
"Yes," I answered without correction.
"Dr. Matador would be with you very shortly. Please follow me this way to the room."
We followed her down an aisle and entered through a double door.
"Please wait right in here," she said before leaving us.
I sat down on a chair beside a small bed and made myself comfortable. My phone buzzed in my pocket.
"Evan, can I ask you something?" Jasmine's voice came out softly.
I looked up at her. She seemed scared and uncomfortable.
"What is it?" I asked, turning my attention back to the phone and replying to Aria's text messages.
"We've never discussed about us," she said.
"What is there to discuss, Jasmine? You went your way and I went mine. You're now pregnant with my baby-- and you better hope it's my baby-- so I'm here for my child. If it doesn't concern the baby, then I don't want to hear about it."
My words had hurt her because she began crying silently. She took a tissue from her purse and wiped her eyes before sitting on the bed.
I turned back to my phone again and smiled at the nude pictures Aria had just sent. She was doing this at such a bad time.
"You're such an asshole," I heard Jasmine's voice again. She was really trying to get at me today.
"Jasmine. Fine! What do you want to talk about?" I semi shouted.
"I want to talk about us with the baby! There is 'us' because of this baby and, as you said, you've already moved on. I just want us to compromise on how we're actually going to do this."
"That's easy. Once the baby is here, I'll have my child and you can have your life back."
"What? So you're not going to let me be apart of my baby's life?"
"Why? After you wanted an abortion? Tell me why I should allow that child to even know you?"
"You son of a bitch! I'm not going to let you take my baby away from me."
"Well pray that I'm not the father then.copy right hot novel pub
